  • 200g kataifi pastry (kunafa dough), thawed
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 200g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¾ cup roasted pistachios, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Optional: extra melted chocolate, crushed dried rose petals

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a lined baking dish.
  2. Pull apart kunafa dough into strands, toss with melted butter and sugar.
  3. Press half the mixture into the dish and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
  4. Heat cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate and honey, stir until smooth.
  5. Spread ganache over baked kunafa base, sprinkle pistachios and powdered sugar.
  6. Cover with remaining kunafa mixture and bake another 8–10 minutes.
  7. Cool completely before slicing; optionally drizzle with more chocolate and garnish.
