- 200g kataifi pastry (kunafa dough), thawed
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 200g dark chocolate, finely chopped
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ¾ cup roasted pistachios, chopped
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Optional: extra melted chocolate, crushed dried rose petals
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a lined baking dish.
- Pull apart kunafa dough into strands, toss with melted butter and sugar.
- Press half the mixture into the dish and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Heat cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate and honey, stir until smooth.
- Spread ganache over baked kunafa base, sprinkle pistachios and powdered sugar.
- Cover with remaining kunafa mixture and bake another 8–10 minutes.
- Cool completely before slicing; optionally drizzle with more chocolate and garnish.
