- 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp water or beef broth
- Optional: red chili flakes, green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate the beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, sesame oil, pepper, and cornstarch for 15–30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet and cook the beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside.
- Stir-fry peppers and onion in the same pan for 2–3 minutes.
- Add beef back in with water/broth and stir-fry everything together for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve hot over rice and garnish as desired.

- Substitute tofu or mushrooms for a vegan version.
- Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
- Spice it up with chili flakes or jalapeños.
