  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or black pepper
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups beef broth or stock
  • Optional: ¼ cup red wine, fresh parsley, egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice

Instructions

  1. Pat beef dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high; sear beef in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until soft.
  4. Stir in flour, then slowly add broth, Worcestershire, soy sauce, and paprika. Mix to avoid lumps.
  5. Return beef to pan; simmer covered on low heat for 25–30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with parsley.
